United Nations investigation officer in the Hashaji case will travel to Turkey

United Nations sources revealed today that the United Nations official Karamald, who is responsible for extrajudicial executions, will visit Turkey next week for an international investigation into the murder of Saudi Arabian journalist Hassoghi.

The Anadolu Agency of Turkey quoted unnamed sources as reporting that the United Nations Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Agnes Callamard, will investigate the Hashaji case, in January. Visited Turkey from 28th to 2nd February.

Jamal Khashoggi was killed in the consulate of Istanbul in Turkey in October last year. Karamald will lead the international investigation of the case and will report to the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) in June according to the results of the investigation. .

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu reiterated earlier today that Turkey is conducting a transparent investigation and stressing the importance of exposing the culprit. He said that the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan requested an international investigation into the case.
